What Is the NFP Machine?

The NFP Machine is a recurring contest where Tickmill selects an instrument around the monthly US NFP release
(typically on the first Friday). Participants try to predict the instrument’s price on Tickmill’s
MT4/MT5 platform at 16:00 server time (i.e., 30 minutes after the NFP print). Correct or closest
predictions win cash prizes credited to the winner’s wallet.

How It Works (Step-by-Step)

1. Have a live Tickmill account.
2. Check Facebook: During NFP week, Tickmill announces the month’s instrument on their official Facebook page.
3. Submit your prediction via Woobox between Monday 00:00 and Friday 15:00 (server time) of NFP week, using the email you registered with.
4. Wait for results: Winners are revealed on the first Friday by 17:30 server time.

Prizes & Winner Selection

• $500 for an exact price match.
• If no exact match: $250 (1st closest), $150 (2nd closest), $100 (3rd closest).
• Only one cash prize can be won by a participant for the entire contest; you may continue participating monthly even after winning.

Withdrawal & Trading Requirements

Prizes are credited as a withdrawable bonus into the winner’s wallet, subject to trading volume conditions:
trade at least 1 standard lot for every $3 of prize money to withdraw. Volume counted includes Forex pairs, metals,
BTCUSD, US30, USTEC, and DE40 (indices count at 0.25× due to notional size).
Meeting these conditions unlocks withdrawal of the cash bonus.

Eligibility & Timing

• Open to new and existing clients of Tickmill Ltd (FSA-regulated) with a verified live account.
• Start date: May 30, 2016; the contest is ongoing with no fixed end date (subject to change per T&Cs).
• One prediction per participant per month; if multiple are submitted, only the latest counts.
• Winners are contacted via their registered email within 3 calendar days after the announcement.

• Model the 30-minute post-release window on historical data to gauge typical ranges/volatility.
